Are you a bulk-billing practice?

Yes. Donnybrook Family Doctors participates in the Australian Government's Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program (BBPIP). If you hold a valid Medicare card, your GP consultation is bulk-billed with no out-of-pocket cost. Some services — driver's licence medicals, occupational medicals, and procedure consumables — are private fees. Patients without a Medicare card pay private fees. Ask reception about registering for MyMedicare (see the next question).

What is MyMedicare and should I register?

MyMedicare is a free, voluntary registration program from the Australian Government that formalises the relationship between you and your regular GP practice. Registering does not cost you anything and does not change how you receive care. Being registered gives you access to longer telehealth consultations, better care coordination for chronic conditions, and stronger continuity with the practice. Ask our reception team next time you visit — we can help you register in a few minutes.
